On May 8, the exhibition MUSHI 虫. Dragonflies and Other Insects in the Paintings of Stéphane Dubé opens at the Oriental Art Museum. Curated by Marta Boscolo Marchi, Sachiko Natsume, and Giulia Passante, the exhibition is the result of the collaboration between the National Museums of Veneto region Office – Museum of Oriental Art and Sachiko Natsume Gallery.

The exhibition will be open to visitors until August 30, 2026.

Twenty-seven original works by the artist will be on display, created in gouache on paper and dedicated to insects. The exhibition is organized into three sections: Dragonflies, Moths, and Snakes.

Stéphane Dubé was born in 1959. Between 1979 and 1981, he moved to Warsaw to study at the Academy of Fine Arts on a scholarship from the Polish government. Later, between 1989 and 1990, he studied at the Kyoto City University of Arts. Since 2024, the artist has been living in Toyama, not far from the Sea of Japan, surrounded by mountains and rice fields.
